Bridgnorth Town 1, Redditch United 3
STRIKER Jamie Spencer struck a second half double to ease Redditch to a convincing victory at West Midlands League Bridgnorth.
And the scoreline could have been more emphatic had it not been for a number of decent saves from Chris Cooke in the home goal.
It took until first half injury time before the Reds finally found a way through, a defensive slip allowing triallist Jake Healey to find the net.
Spencer and fellow half-time substitute Jason Cowley ran riot in the second half and it was Spencer who doubled the lead from the penalty spot on 66 minutes after a jinking run from Reece Hewitt had been ended by a foul just inside the area.
Eight minutes later the frontman struck again, neatly firing past keeper Cooke after pouncing on a weak back-pass.
Bridgnorth bagged their consolation two minutes from time when Jason Pike curled a free-kick over the wall and beyond replacement keeper Ryan Young.
