REDDITCH United duo Jazz Luckie and Jim Mutton have been handed an extra two-game ban by the Football Association.
The pair and the club were found guilty of accidentally breaching rule E10 after playing against St Neots in February when due to start three-match suspensions.
While United and the players did appeal the decision, arguing that they were unfairly sent off in the 1-0 loss to King’s Lynn, football’s governing body found they had broken the rules.
Redditch were fined £250, while the Mutton and Luckie were both penalised with charges of £100.
While they had also previously served three-match bans for their dismissals in Norfolk, they were given two extra matches as punishment, starting on Monday against Merthyr.
They will also be suspended for Saturday’s top-five home clash against Leamington on Saturday (3pm ko).
The Valley Stadium outfit is also waiting to see if there will be any further punishment from the Southern League, who could deduct three points.
A spokesman from the league said: “As this is an ongoing matter with the club (Redditch) I am unable to make comment at this stage.”
