ALCESTER A suffered only their second defeat of the season at Triplex in Division Seven of the S&W Birmingham Over-60s League.
Only Carole Slater could manage a winning card (21-16) for the leaders.
The B team hosted Henley B and extended their winning run to eight matches with a 57-shot success.
All four of Alcester’s winners held their opponents to single figures, headed by Ken Craddock with a stunning 21-0 card.
In their penultimate match in Division One of the Yardley Wood League, Alcester A visited Stoke Prior A and went down by five shots.
In the Over-60s section of the Heart of England League Division One, Alcester A had two rearranged games, resulting in three matches in as many days.
They suffered a 16-shot loss to Acocks Green/College A, suffered a 29-shot loss to Wythall A, but then won the Wythall return by six shots.
