BOWLS: White Hart's Warwick and Worcester Premier League team gained an important Division Four home win over Erdington & Richmond last Saturday to lift them off the foot of the table.
They had nine winners from the 12 ties with Stuart Rice starring in a 21-4 victory, well-supported by Ken Brown, Dave Kings, Rob Faulks, Dave Edwards, Ian Humphreys, Paul Matthews, Sue Sugden and Mick Perrins.
In the Sunday Northfield and District League Division Three, White Hart A easily accounted for local rivals Alcester at home to keep them at the upper end of the table.
The B team found Colebrook B tough opponents, only fielding two winners in Tim Hollingshead and captain Di Pritchard.
In the Yardley Wood and District League, White Hart now have a six-match unbeaten record following a home win against Bournville Sports, who were only able to field six players.
Colebrook again proved a thorn in the side for White Hart in the Heart of England Division One, with only Paul Matthews winning for the visitors who now have a virtually impossible task avoiding relegation.
The Heart of England Over-60s A team produced two winners at Alcester A in Division One.
Wins for Graham Arnott (21-18) and Ian Humphreys (21-19) gave White Hart two points, while the other four players all produced good double-figure cards in a narrow 17-shot defeat.
