A FIGHTER from Redditch maintained his excellent unbeaten record by winning Professional Prizefighter Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) British Title Belt in Birmingham.
Rhys Parker defeated Newcastle-based Scot James Wishaw just 22 seconds into the first round of the 66 kilogram weight category in the Custard Factory.
He has become the first member of Redditch Community Amateur Boxing Club member to win a title outside of pugilism.
Parker is looking to defend his title in MMA next year, around February in spectacular fashion.
At the age of 22 with over 40 fights under his belt, the young talent is really hitting the prime of his career and RCABC are delighted he's championing different areas of the club as a member at the Matchborough Centre based gym.
As well as amateur boxing, the gym offers a wide range of other sports including MMA and Thai Boxing among other martial arts.
