ANGLING: Barry Blewett took top honours at Needles AC’s competition on the River Alne.
He bagged 5lbs 12ozs to win the tournament, which had 22 anglers taking part.
In second spot was Bob Allen with a similar catch for 4lbs 9ozs, third was match secretary Chris Cole (3lbs 2ozs) and Glyn Blewett (2lbs 9ozs) came fourth.
The section winners were Alan Elms 2lbs 6ozs and John Mutchell 1ld 9ozs.
Throckmorton AC’s Thursday Evening League final match on the river Arrow at Coughton was won by Alcester match man Tony Avery who caught a haul of 25lbs 2ozs.
Runner-up was league champion Mick Keen with 13lbs 10ozs and in third spot was Barry Harvey 9lbs 12ozs.
