CLUB secretary John Bushell had to pack-up 45 minutes before the end of the latest Hymatic AC contest on Arrow Valley Lake but still took the match with a catch of 18lb 8oz.
Runner-up Ron Evans fished in similar style but fell short with his bag of 17lb 11oz.
Meanwhile, 25 anglers took part in the Dark Lane AC’s Courage Shield match on the river Arrow at Alcester.
Pete Lewis won with 34lbs 1oz followed in second.
The section winners were Simon Howl (9lbs 14ozs), Pete Quirke (6lbs 4ozs) and Tony Avery (5lbs 7ozs).
