AS a Christian I had been, in some ways, dreading Christmas. Not only with the usual things like the crowds when shopping, but also something is being overlooked, the Christmas dinner.

The suffering of the turkey and thousands of living creatures intensively reared and then slaughtered to produce this feast for the day.

It seems unbelievable when it is to celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace.
