TO the impatient and aggressive drivers in our community Shocked and upset describes the way you left some parents, leaders and young children who took part in the Headless Cross Guiding and Scouting Remembrance Day Parade.

The verbal abuse and threatening behaviour you used towards the volunteers, who legally closed the roads for a short period of time, was an unpleasant surprise.

We thought the day was about remembering those who have served our country. Ask yourselves – do you as an individual have the right to do exactly what you want, when you want to do it, regardless of the effect it has on others around you?

Not one of you were in a life or death situation.

Shame on you for your poor example.

C Brown, Headless Cross
