SO who is doing who a favour when you have a card left by the postman saying he has been unable to deliver a parcel, and you drive to Fishing Line Road to collect it?
This happened to me last week so I took the card and driving licence into the office but was denied the parcel as it had my business name rather than my surname on it.
OK, so I then presented postman “jobsworth” with a store card and a deposit account card, both havingmy business name.
Still Iwasdenied the parcel because these types of card weren’t on a list as acceptable forms of proof.
I was wearing a shirt with my company name which is also splashed across my van outside.
I left the sorting office, angry, without the parcel. The outcome being thattheregularpostmanhadto deliver it the following day. Extraworkfor the postie, a wasted journey for me.
