AT St Luke’s Church a few weeks ago, we had a visiting Methodist minister who said he had lunched at the Barley Mow where, he told us, John Wesley ate on one or two occasions.
I asked the local Methodist minister when the Wesleys were active and he said in the 1700s. This set me wondering about whether the present Barley Mow at Studley would be the same one, and if so, how old it is and if not, where would the one he referred to be found?
I've asked one or two people, but no-one seems to know for sure. Can any readers help?
