The Kingfisher English Country Dance Club, which was launched last October, is set to resume again on September 2 following a summer break. The club, operated by newly created charity, Arts in Redditch started last October and is held Friday evenings at Oakenshaw Community Centre. Speaking on behalf of the club, chairman of Arts in Redditch, Malcolm Hall said, we want to grow from our good beginnings of last year and are planning some special evenings, such as November 25 when we will have Wayfarers, a Birmingham based display team, running the session for us, and we have invited Worcestershire Players to come and play for us on occasions. Other guests are being planned. As it is all done for charity we want to invite any musicians and would be callers to come along and practice their skills by prior arrangement, but the main aim is to get people new to this form of dancing and more experienced to come and have fun and keep fit at the same time.

Arts in Redditch is also planning a New Year's Eve Barn Dance at the same venue. Advance booking essential.
