A LORRY driver has denied causing serious injury by dangerous driving after the other driver in the crash suffered a broken pelvis.
Simon Ling was involved in a crash with a broken-down car on the M5 northbound between junctions 6 (Worcester) and 5 (Droitwich).
The 46-year-old of Edinburgh Close, Bootle, Merseyside denied causing serious injury by dangerous driving when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester today following the crash on July 25 last year. He faces a further charge of driving without due care and attention on the same day.
The driver of the Ford Focus involved in the crash, named in court as Suhail Shah, suffered serious injuries including a fractured pelvis and bruising to the back.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction for the case and it was adjourned for a hearing in Worcester Crown Court on August 13 this year.
The defendant was granted unconditional bail in the meantime.
