A HALESOWEN pet rescue is appealing for a special home for a quirky cat who can't find a new owner.

Poor Rory has been at Pepper's Pet Rescue for over two months and despite displaying the tendency to nip occasionally and a hatred of all other cats - he loves fuss and is very affectionate and could make someone the perfect pet.

Nurse Sophie Pepper, who runs Pepper's from her home on the Lodgefield Estate, is desperate to find the special six-year-old moggie the home he deserves.

Nearly 6,000 people have seen a social media post about Rory - but still no-one has come forward to offer him a forever home.

Mum-of-two Sophie said: "Unfortunately Rory was hit by a car when he was two and now has sore knees because of this.

"He is on strong pain relief twice a day, which seems to work a treat.

"However, since his accident he has displayed some unpredictable behaviour and he can scratch and nip.

"He is also a very affectionate boy and loves fuss.

"He likes to spend a lot of time outside so after the initial settling in period of four weeks, he would need to have some outside time.

"Due to him being unpredictable, although he has been much better since being on pain relief, we feel he needs an adult only home or a home with older children only.

"This amazing, gorgeous boy still deserves a forever loving home despite his quirks.

"It's heartbreaking that he has been here so long.

"If the right home came along, I would potentially continue to fund his medication for his knees."

Rory was brought into the rescue on May 10 after his owners surrendered him.

Sophie said he has made great progress since being there and his behaviour has really improved since he started his pain medication.
