A NURSERY is celebrating after receiving its fourth outstanding Ofsted rating.

Busy Bees Droitwich nursery is celebrating after receiving an ‘outstanding’ rating, for the fourth consecutive time, following its latest Ofsted inspection on March 10.

Busy Bees Droitwich on Worcester Road received the highest possible rating in all areas following the visit by inspectors.

Ofsted praised the provision, and the report which was published on June 25, said: “The nursery is a hive of activity and children have lots of fun as they learn.

“They industriously take part in activities and facilitate their own learning with enthusiasm and vigour. Children are fully engaged and play well together as they negotiate how they can make a pirate ship from a car bumper, tubes, tyres and crates.”

The staff team at the nursery were also praised for being “positive role models and continually encourage children to use good manners, share, take turns and respect each other.

“Lots of positive language is shared between children and staff, including high levels of praise.”

Ashley Webb, centre director at Busy Bees Droitwich, said: “I am immensely proud of the team and this achievement, as it reflects all the hard work of every member of the team.

“This is the fourth time in succession the nursery has received the Outstanding grade and so join a very elite set of nurseries, that have been able to maintain their high standards over many years. Well done Busy Bees Droitwich.”

The quality of teaching was observed during activities, indoors and outdoors, and the inspector assessed the impact this has on children's learning.

The inspector, Rebecca Johnson, spoke with staff and children at appropriate times during the inspection.

She looked at relevant documentation, including children's details and evidence of the suitability of staff working in the nursery.

The views of parents were taken account of during the inspection.

The provision caters for children up the age of four and currently has 136 youngsters on roll.

The nursery employs 38 members of childcare staff.
