A CHARITY network is donating £1,000 to five good causes during the coronavirus crisis.

The Wooden Spoon Worcestershire is helping charities across the county and chairman John Gibson said: "We are delighted to be able to help and support these great local charities where such donations make a great difference.

"It is only through the great help and support of our membership that we are able to do things like this at this very difficult time for so many."

Wooden Spoon is already supporting projects to help children at schools in Dines Green and Stourport this year but has now also been able to help others through these donations.

The five charities supported are Spectrum Days in Droitwich, New Hope in Worcester, What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful in Malvern, Happy Days in Evesham and Worcestershire Parents and Carers Association.
