FIREFIGHTERS were called to burning trees on the edge of a Herefordshire town.

Firefighters were back at the scene this morning because strong winds had fanned smouldering embers inside the trees.
A spokesman for Leominster fire station said the fire had been started by landowners burning waste from hedge and tree maintenance.
The high winds had produced embers that lodged in hollows of the trees.
