A HEARTBROKEN wife has paid tribute to her beloved husband who has died after battling with a grade four brain tumour.

Margaret Frazer-Cann and husband Tony were featured in the Worcester News at the beginning of lockdown after struggling to get hold of food whilst self-isolating.

The couple from Kempsey were overwhelmed by the offers of support they received from the community.

Mrs Frazer-Cann paid a heartfelt tribute to Tony, a former parish councillor.

She said: “Tony passed away on the 14th of April at 11.30pm. It was a dreadful time. Tony was 71 when he passed away, far too soon. I lay with him, gently closed his eyes and told him I loved him and we will be together again one day.

“It was so very hard to let him go.

“I love and miss him beyond words, I always will. His ashes are in a lovely oak casket on my sideboard and will remain with me until I pass and then we will be interned together in the garden of rest in Thirsk North Yorkshire where we bought our plot last year. “

“I can’t thank St Richards Hospice enough and also Dave from Bedwardine funeral services. Both have been wonderful and so very helpful.

“I can only say he is loved and missed by family and friends, but for me, he lives within my heart forever. I will love and miss him till the day I die. I say every day, I love you and will be with you one day.”

Speaking about her husband, Mrs Frazer-Cann said: “We met when he came to Yorkshire to deal with the foot and mouth, nether of us were looking for a relationship but I just knew instantly that Tony was special. He worked for Severn Trent for 25 years, he is an engineer.

“When we moved to Kempsey in 2007 not long after Tony retired and he became a very involved parish councillor, he also joined Worcester Male Voice Choir where he met some of the loveliest people. He is a very loyal man and a very caring man.”
