A MAN has been arrested after driving the wrong way around a Dudley island to evade police.
Officers from Brierley Hill police station spotted the car this morning (May 15) after the driver failed to stop for officers last week.
The man then drove the wrong way around Cinder Bank Island to avoid the police, PC Jamie Follows said.
Police pursued the car to Pedmore Road where they blocked the driver at the traffic lights.
He was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, possession of controlled drugs and drug driving.
Police also seized the car.
