WASTE crews who have made sure the city's rubbish has been collected during the coronavirus will be thanking residents for their support with huge signs on the side of two bin lorries.
Worcester City Council will be returning the compliment to residents who have cheered, clapped, stuck colourful thank you messages to bins and handed over gifts with huge signs on the side of some of its waste lorries.
The signs will read: “Your waste collection crews thank you for your help and support.”
A spokesman said: “It’s been overwhelming to see the support residents have shown the bin crews at this difficult time. Everywhere they go they’ve been clapped, cheered, found messages of gratitude waiting for them – and even a few gifts. The signs on these two vehicles are a great way of saying thank you to the people for their help and understanding during the lockdown.”
