PEOPLE across Worcestershire are invited to once more show their appreciation to the NHS and front line workers this evening when Clap For Our Carers returns.

The nationwide Clap For Our Carers returns tonight at 8pm, after last Thursday's moving spectacle saw households across the nation applaud those risking their lives in the fight against coronavirus.

Organisers hope the event tonight will see even more people show their appreciation for the NHS and will be another chance for the nation to unite during this difficult time.

Following last week's event, a message from the NHS on social media described the tribute as "emotional".

West Midlands Ambulance Service tweeted afterwards: "We've all been completely overwhelmed by your support, donations, thank you notes and Clap For Our Carers this week. Thank you so much from West Midlands Ambulance Service

"Please continue to stay at home. Protect the NHS. Help save lives."
