SOME banks have temporarily shut the doors of some branches in Herefordshire as bosses respond to the coronavirus outbreak.
Lloyds Bank has shut three local branches and have followed other banks in reducing opening hours for others.

Bromyard has been left without a bank on its high street as Lloyds closed until further notice, as well as branches in Ross-on-Wye and Presteigne.

The banks in Leominster and Hereford remain open, but only between 10am and 2pm on weekdays.

"From Wednesday, March 25 our branches will open from 10am to 2pm on weekdays, with no weekend openings," a statement from the bank said.
"This temporary change will help us to safeguard essential services across the country, maintain access to cash for our customers, and ensure those who are vulnerable or in financial difficulty can continue to speak to our colleagues.
"We would encourage customers to only visit a branch if it is absolutely necessary.
"In some cases, we’ve had to temporarily close a branch so that we have the right number of colleagues available to serve customers."

Halifax in Hereford and Leominster remain open, but again, their opening hours have been reduced. They are now open from 10am until 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Natwest will be open in Hereford on weekdays from 10am until 1pm, but there will be no mobile branch service in Ross, Ledbury and Hay-on-Wye.
TSB has not closed any branches in the county, but those in Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury and Hereford will be open from 10am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4pm.
