As The Courtyard building shuts, Herefordshire’s leading arts centre remains committed to keeping the community connected and entertained "during these unprecedented times".

They have teamed up with Feral Productions and have launched Isolation Creations, a project to engage local creatives and community members and provide them with a platform on which they can showcase their work.

Whether it be poems, photographs, songs, paintings, stories, scripts or stand-up routines – The Courtyard and Feral Productions are looking for pieces of work inspired by what life is like right now.

A spokesman said: "The public are encouraged to turn their experiences into art and share them with the community. Creations can take any form that can be digitised and put on websites/social media pages.

"Throughout history the arts have united people in times of crisis. Together, The Courtyard and Feral are determined to do the same by keeping the artistic heart of local people beating."

“Feral Productions Director Estelle van Warmelo added: “This year is bringing unprecedented challenges and while physical health is a priority, mental wellbeing is also vital.

"Creativity can be a powerful resource in helping people express and transform their feelings so we are offering a service that provides an outlet for the community to share and connect through artistic activity while being physically separated.”
