LEDBURY traders and local councillors have sounded a rallying cry over shopping in the town.

Town clerk Angela Price said: “At a recent economic development and planning committee the issue of low trade and empty shops was discussed under a heading of promoting a vibrant high street.

“There was a clear consensus in the room that Ledbury’s High Street is holding its own, and continues to offer an excellent range of independent shops.

“We enjoyed a lively discussion about what could be done to help fill those shops which are vacant, and the council will be working in collaboration with local traders and landlords to keep the town centre thriving”.

The next Ledbury Traders meeting will be Thursday, March 19, 5.30 for 6pm start in the Feather’s Coffee Shop.
