A HOUSING association is supporting a campaign to unite people through conversation.
Platform Housing Group, Worcestershire’s largest social housing provider, is supporting the four-month ‘Talk to Me Worcester’ campaign, which currently has 30 planned events in Worcester up to May 10.
Run by a number of organisations, including Worcester City Council, events include doughnut sampling for ‘Pączki Day’ at St Paul’s Church and litter picks.
Tom Piotrowski, of Platform Housing Group, said: “The idea is very simple: bring people together and encourage them to interact to reduce levels of social isolation, forge links between local residents and new comers, and strengthen cohesion of existing communities. Food is a great way to bring people together, so we’re organising a Pączki Day doughnut tasting event at St Paul’s Church, Worcester, on Thursday Feburary 20 at 5.30pm.”
