TESTS have been completed on human remains found in a septic tank in Kempsey in July last year.
A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said: "We have had the results of the DNA testing.
"The investigation is on-going, and we are not able to release any further information at this time."
The bones were found at the bottom of a septic tank by workman carrying out maintenance, who then tipped off police.
Police did not revealed the exact location of the find at the time, but this paper understood it was in Bestmans Lane.
The police then launched an investigation into a woman's disappearance in 1982 in Kempsey.
