AHIR Shah isn’t sure of very much, apparently, and that’s one theme of the comic’s new show.
But it is an absolute certainty that he’s set to perform at Worcester’s Huntingdon Hall, next month.
So what else can an audience expect?
A spokesman said: “Nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2017 and 2018, Ahir Shah is on tour again with his new stand-up show DOTS.
“Featuring Shah’s signature blend of philosophical inquiry, personal examination, and sweet gags, DOTS is a stand-up show about the necessity, utility, and absence of certainty.”
The spokesman added: “ Topics include Mexico, culture, politics, cigarettes, depression, adulthood, funerals, religion, children, love, and dead German sociologists. It is considerably funnier than it sounds.”
So that must come as a big relief to his many fans.
The spokesman added: “Shah’s last show, Duffer, was performed to packed houses and critical acclaim at the 2018 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, followed by a sold-out run in London’s West End, and a UK and international tour. “
Shah, of course, has also appeared on Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo, and The Mash Report.
But what do the critics think?
One called Shah’s show “intricately crafted, profoundly moving, howlingly funny; a blazing talent firing on all cylinders”.
Another called him “tremendously thoughtful, woundedly candid and self-laceratingly funny”
While another worried about his apparent interest in dead German sociologists. But everyone, after all, needs a hobby.
The date for the diary is Friday, February 28, at 7.30pm.
