STUDENTS travelled back in time to experience a day in the life of a Victorian schoolchild.
To start the day on Wednesday (January 15) the year 6 students from Oldbury Park RSA Academy, lined up ready to curtsey or bow to their schoolteachers before starting their first Victorian lesson.
The schoolchildren, in Oldbury Road, focused on the 3 R’s for learning, like the Victorians: Reading, writing and arithmetic.
After break, the children were engaged in Victorian entertainment and pastimes, such as making flipbooks and pinwheels; playing with Victorian toys; reading books from Victorian authors and playing a game of marbles.
