POLICE say the death of a 25 year-old woman in Upton-Upon-Severn is still being treated as a possible murder.

West Mercia Police say they are still investigating the death of Sara Hopkins in the town on November 16.

The cause of death is still uncertain, with West Mercia Police saying there was no post-mortem update to give.

Miss Hopkins' body was found near Upton Fire Station just after 8am on November 16.

A 44-year-old man arrested shortly after on suspicion of murder was released on bail on November 18 with detectives having been previously granted extra time to question him.

On the evening of November 15, Miss Hopkins checked in on Facebook at the Drum and Monkey pub in Upton with the comment: "Caz and Gordy cheering me up after a s*** week, I have the best friends.”

Her body was found the following morning, and tributes were laid by friends, family and Upton residents.

On November 18, police officers conducted a fingertip search in the area around where her body was found.
