A SERIOUS crash closed the A49 in north Herefordshire this afternoon.
Police said the road was closed between Ashton and Broomfield following a serious crash near Berrington Hall just after 1pm today (Sunday).
A fire service spokesperson said crews from Leominster and Tenbury were called the scene of the two-car crash at 1.16pm.
Firefighters cut one female casualty free from the wreckage.
Four other people were treated at the scene by paramedics.
The road has since reopened.
