KIND parents from Wyre Forest are appealing for help to bring a bit of cheer to youngsters having to spend Christmas in hospital.

Mandy Griffiths is running her annual Christmas Gift Project which aims to deliver presents to children at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Last year, she ran a successful project for the children’s ward at Worcester and is now collecting presents such as books, games, puzzles, baby items and toiletries.

Gifts and items for this year's project need to be brand new, boxed, packaged or tagged. All donations are welcome and gifts can be dropped off up to Saturday, December 7.

Once all the gifts have been collected and checked by the hospitals to ensure they are appropriate, they will be delivered by Father Christmas on Saturday, December 14 in a special gift bag.

Organiser Mandy Griffiths said: "We are collecting gift donations for children and families of all ages that will be spending Christmas in the hospital's children's ward.

"We would appreciate any donations to help make their Christmas a little bit better."
