FOR over 20 years, Malvern’s international award winning chamber choir, Aldwyn Voices, has presented A Sequence of Music and Literature for Advent and Christmas in Tewkesbury Abbey.

This year the event takes place on Sunday, December 8, at 3pm. Admission is by programme at the door £8. Young people under 16 enter free.

Proceeds after expenses go to Tewkesbury Abbey and the Mayor of Malvern’s chosen charity, Malvern Food Bank.

Over the past twenty years, more than £1,500 has been raised for charity.

BBC Radio have described the event as ‘one of the most innovative and inspirational seasonal offerings to be heard anywhere’.

Aldwyn Voices can be heard singing Christmas Motets by Herbert Howells on You Tube from Tewkesbury Abbey in a BBC recording.

The choir is directed by the distinguished choral conductor, Adrian Lucas, head of choral music at the Royal School of Church Music.

The organist is Carleton Etherington, director of music at Tewkesbury Abbey.
