WORDSLEY'S new White House Cone - Museum of Glass will open its doors for a Christmas open weekend this weekend.

The event, which will run from 10am to 4pm on November 23 and 24, will feature around 20 craft stalls selling locally produced handmade objects, refreshments, a choir and a glass bauble decorating workshop.

Entry to the open event is free - with charges for activities.

Meanwhile - the neighbouring Red House Glass Cone will also host a festive weekend on November 23 and 24 when Santa and Mrs Claus will be visiting.

Craft studios on site will open their doors and there will be glass fusing sessions both days and chance to make a glass Christmas tree for £6. Advance booking on 01384 815571 is required.

The Red House Glass Cone is also hosting its annual Christmas Tree Festival, which runs until January 5, and on Friday November 29 the cone will be open until 7pm so visitors can see the Christmas trees illuminated in the dark, enjoy refreshments and take part in family craft activities.
