SCOUTS will again be delivering festive cheer across Kidderminster, Blakedown, Cookley and Wolverley this Christmas.

This is the 28th year for the Scout Christmas Post, which sees more than 40 green postboxes pop up across the region to collect people's cards ready to be delivered by Kidderminster Scouts this festive period.

Stamps cost just 25p each and there are three new designs for this year, created by local Beavers and Cubs.

The three chosen designs were made by Elizabeth Breakwell, aged 10, James Devney Harkaway, aged 11, and Ned Harris, aged eight.

Stamps will be on sale from Monday, November 25 until 4pm on Friday, December 20.

A list of outlets for stamps and postboxes will be available at Kidderminster Library, the Town Hall and The Sweet Shop, or by ringing Joan Nutland on 01562 823609.

Outlets for stamps and postboxes include Franche Co-op, The Balloon Shop in Coventry Street, Hodge Hill in Birmingham Road, Cookley Tesco, Broadwaters Convenience Store, Wavelengths Hairdressers in Baskerville Road and Costcutters in Lister Road.

Sorting begins as soon as postboxes are collected at 4pm and deliveries will start on Saturday, December 21.
