A DUDLEY primary school hosted a celebration of different faiths as a long-running interfaith day returned to the town.
Pupils and staff at Sledmere Primary School took part in the Faith City day, which has been running in Dudley for 22 years.
Year 5 and 6 pupils at the Buffery Road school were joined by youngsters from Kates Hill and Dudley Wood Primary Schools to learn more about different faiths.
Youngsters listened to talks from representatives from Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism and Buddhism and got a chance to pose questions.
Peter Bravo, Executive Headteacher at Sledmere Primary School, said: "It has been a pleasure to host Faith City at Sledmere.
"The children worked in small groups and had the opportunity to hear a brief presentation about each faith’s main beliefs, celebrations and what it means to have that faith.
"I was impressed with the children’s maturity and the quality of the questions they asked.
"We are hugely grateful to our very own Mrs Avi Basrai for organising this important inter-faith event."
Sledmere Primary has hosted Faith City every year since 2010.
