Flood alerts have been issued for the rivers Wye and Lugg.

It follows heavy rain today.

The Environment Agency says flooding is expected between 1pm and 2pm tomorrow (Saturday) on low-lying land and roads along the river Wye from Hay-on-Wye to Ross-on-Wye.

Other places that may be affected include Byford, Bredwardine and Hereford.

The river at the old bridge in Hereford is expected to peak at 9am tomorrow.

Flooding is also expected to affect low lying land and roads along the river Lugg south of Leominster from Stoke Prior to Mordiford.

Other places that may be affected include Bodenham, Lugwardine and Hampton Bishop.
