A well-known estate agent's office in Hereford has shut down as part of a restructure.

Andrew Grant has closed the Broad Street office in the city and has merged operations with the Ludlow branch, which is staying open.

The agency believes centralising operations will help it cover a bigger patch.

The move came as a surprise to passers-by in Hereford who spotted the office closed and the signage removed.

The agency's marketing manager Caroline Hope said: "There is no difference in the quality of service we provide. Our premises may have changed, but our people haven’t."

She said Andrew Grant would operate from six regional property centres:

  • Andrew Grant West Midlands and Warwickshire Property Hub in the  High Street, Henley-in-Arden
  • Andrew Grant Hereford and Shropshire Property Hub in the High Street, Ludlow
  • Andrew Grant South Worcestershire and Cotswolds in the High Street, Pershore
  • Andrew Grant Stourbridge and Wyre Forest in Foster Street, Stourbridge
  • Andrew Grant Worcestershire in Foregate Street Worcester
  • Andrew Grant Bromsgrove Property Hub (officially part of Worcestershire but the agency has retained its High Street location)

"All properties will continue to be featured on our website, which receives more than 70,000 visitors per month, the leading property portals, matched personally to our registered buyers and tenants and, where relevant, promoted via our London Office," said Ms Hope.

"Lettings clients will be managed centrally by our specialist property management department in Worcester.

"Our professional and dedicated teams will continue to provide unrivalled service. We are here to make the property journey a more positive experience.

"At Andrew Grant the most important thing about us is our clients: when they need to see us we will visit them, not the other way around."
