A DOG attack resulted in the loss of a number of animals for one Herefordshire farmer yesterday.
West Mercia Police Rural Crime Team said a loose dog was responsible for killing livestock in an attack on farmland near Ross-on-Wye.
The force is warning all dog owners that any dog who worries or, as in this case, kills livestock, may be shot by the landowner.
Dog owners are asked to keep their dogs on a lead when around livestock for their own safety and that of other animals.
