POLICE have seized a car with no insurance, tax or MOT from Ludlow after it was causing an obstruction in Ludlow.
A silver Peugeot was reported to the police today, and officers found the car had been SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification).
A vehicle that has been SORN cannot be left on a public highway or footpath as no tax has been paid, which gives officers the power to seize it.
The car was recovered within half an hour, and ff the owner wants to get the vehicle back, West Mercia Police said they will have to prove they have tax, insurance and MOT, as well as paying a fee of at least £150 to the recovery agent.
West Mercia Police said they will continue to monitor traffic on the roads and take the appropriate action against those owners or drivers who use their vehicles illegally.
