A MAGICAL Shakespeare comedy will be brought to life in the beautiful grounds of Hartlebury Castle on Midsummer night.
Quantum Theatre will be performing its hilarious and energetic production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in the castle's carriage circle on Friday, June 21.
Audience members can bring a picnic, blanket and chairs and settle in to enjoy an evening of fun and laughter with one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies.
A Midsummer Night's Dream tells the story of four young lovers who become entangled in fairies' magical mischief as a result of the fairy King and Queen's quarrelling.
Soon no mortals are safe in the bewitching woods outside Athens.
“Expect a stylish, whimsical and hilarious production with great acting from Quantum Theatre,” said Chantel Summerfield, activities and engagement officer at Hartlebury Castle. “We’re delighted to have them join us, and it’s fantastic that we can show this magical production on actual Midsummer night.”
“We’re hoping the sun will shine for us, but whatever the weather, we’re going ahead!”
Tickets for the show cost £15 for adults and £8 for children when purchased in advance, plus booking fees. Call 01299 250416 or visit hartleburycastle.com. Tickets can also be bought on the night for an additional cost.
Gates open at 6pm and the play is set to start at 7pm.
