A FAMILY of ducks caused "traffic chaos" in Stourport on Tuesday afternoon by waddling their way down a busy road.
Seven ducklings followed their mother down York Street just after 4pm on April 9 - creating a traffic jam in their wake.
Mark Gallett, director of Alarm 2000, which captured the scenes on CCTV, said: "I was in the office and heard some quacking - which isn't a noise you would expect from a one-way street.
"Our cameras look all around our property so I had a look and saw the ducks strolling down the road with all the traffic behind them. There were 20-odd cars completely stationary!
"It was nice to see how many people stopped to help. A couple stopped to usher them across the road and the ducks carried on their merry way towards the river."
The firm posted the photos on Facebook, saying: "Traffic chaos outside the office this afternoon!
"We see some interesting goings on in Stourport from our CCTV and I have to say Stourport has some very talented dancers strutting their stuff at our window on a Friday and Saturday night.
"But at 4.41pm today, mummy duck and her little ducklings waddled past halting traffic in York Street for a few minutes.
"They all crossed safely and were last seen heading towards the River Severn.
"How lucky we are to live and work where we do."
