A BROMSGROVE venue has scooped a prestigious accolade at the What's On Readers Awards 2019.
The Artrix has been named as ‘best Worcestershire theatre/arts venue’ at the awards, voted for by readers of the magazine.
With more than 60,000 votes cast and up against stiff competition from all of the county’s biggest theatres and arts venues, Artrix took the top spot.
Director of Artrix Angela Galvin was presented with the award.
She said: “The Artrix team works incredibly hard to create an exciting programme and a warm welcome for our community, so it’s especially pleasing to receive a lovely pat on the back for our venue from our wonderful audiences.
"With praise like this, we’re even more determined to continue bringing the very best in arts and entertainment to the lovely people who voted for us – and introduce some Artrix magic in 2019 to people who haven’t visited us yet.”
Artrix last won the best venue award in 2017 and since then the arts organisation has continued to flourish, attracting audiences from across Worcestershire and the West Midlands to a range of events from cinema screenings to family theatre to live music and comedy.
