A huge blaze broke out at a derelict pub in Bromsgrove last night (Monday).
More than 20 firefighters from three stations battled the blaze at the former Greyhound pub on Fox Lane which started at around 7pm.
Police also attended and motorists were warned to avoid the area as Fox Lane and Rock Hill were closed in both directions.
Worcester Road was also closed. The roads have since reopened.
Robert Allen of Hereford Fire and Rescue tweeted that there were six fire engines and firefighters were using an aerial ladder platform at the scene.
West Mercia Specials tweeted: "Fox Lane & Rock Hill B4091 #Bromsgrove remains CLOSED in both directions whilst @HWFire deal with a severe fire at a derelict pub.
"Please avoid the area!"
It is not known if the fire had been started deliberately but there will be an investigation to ascertain the cause.
