A DUDLEY woman stole perfume from Debenhams, Dudley Magistrates' Court has heard.

Melanie Cleaver, aged 39, of Osprey Drive, Dudley, pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing perfume from Debenhams. She received a Community Order and was ordered to pay £249 in compensation.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates' Court last week.

Nathan Cooper, aged 28, of Wren Street, Woodsetton, pleaded guilty to causing £250 of unlawful damage to a kitchen window and door lock and £70 of damage to a Samsung smartphone belonging to Becky Smart. He received a Community Order and is required to complete 80 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months. He was also ordered not to contact Becky Smart directly or indirectly for the next 12 months and must pay £585 in compensation, victim surcharges and costs.

Mark Blackford, aged 47, of The Willows, Netherton, pleaded guilty to using or threatening to use violence towards another person, causing the person to fear for their personal safety. He was ordered to pay fines, surcharges and costs totalling £415.

Samantha James, aged 29, of Tew Park Road, Handsworth, pleaded guilty to three counts of stealing laundry detergent from One Stop in Wordsley. She received an eight week prison sentence for each offence and was ordered to pay £229.98 in compensation.

Steven Blount, aged, 50, of Beachwood Court, Cradley Heath, pleaded guilty to sending threatening text messages, assault by beating and breaking a restraining order. He received a 12 week concurrent prison sentence suspended for 24 months, a restraining order and must pay £665 compensation, surcharges and costs.

Davis Bell, aged 19, of Vale Road, Netherton, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis and driving under the under the influence of drugs. He received a Community Order with a curfew, is banned from driving for 12 months and must pay surcharges and costs totalling £220.

Morrad Hussain, aged 34, of Himley Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to two counts of harassment. He received a Community Order and was ordered to pay £500 in compensation.

Toby Mann, aged 26, of Shenstone Avenue, Stourbridge, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine, driving over the alcohol limit and driving without insurance. He was banned from driving for 17 months and was ordered to pay fines, surcharges and costs totalling £933.

Julie Pritchard, aged 36, of Lomond Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control, causing injuring to another person. She received a conditional discharge for 12 months and the dog is required to be micro-chipped and wear a lead. She was also ordered to pay compensation, surcharges and costs totalling £220.
