PEOPLE looking for a new challenge in 2019 can sign up to become a volunteer at Primrose Hospice.

Residents can volunteer in a variety of roles at the hospice – from drivers to counselling, complementary therapies to fundraising, and everything in between.

There is a particular need for people to volunteer in its charity shops in Redditch and Rubery.

Jo Wright, Primrose Hospice’s volunteers manager, said: “New Year is a great time to take on a new challenge or fulfil a resolution that benefits others as well as yourself.

“Volunteers are so very important to the running of Primrose Hospice – we wouldn’t be able to support our patients and their families without them.

“Our volunteers say they enjoy being a valued part of team Primrose and enjoy meeting and helping others.

“We really do value their service and recently held a volunteers’ celebration event to show those who donate their time just how much they mean to us.

“We would love to welcome more volunteers to the team, especially at our charity shops in Rubery and Redditch which play a vital role in raising much needed funds for Primrose.”

Anyone who feels they can support the hospice for a few hours a week or month can contact Jo Wright on 01527 871051.

The hospice is also appealing for any unwanted clothes and gifts that people may not need

People can donate any good quality unwanted clothing, bric-a-brac and gift sets to Primrose Hospice’s shops in Bromsgrove, Redditch, Rubery and Droitwich.
