AFTER a busy year spent touring UK festivals, Bewdley-based band Arcadia Roots are returning to their hometown for a Christmas gig.

Supported by Plastic Scene, the band will be bringing their festival vibe to St George's Hall in Load Street on Friday, December 21.

Arcadia Roots have this year appeared alongside the likes of Lightning Seeds, The Darkness, Deborah Bonham and Aswad Waterboys.

Their music has been described as a combination of psychedelic reggae and voodoo blues.

The band writes most of their own music and their live performances have been described as 'infectious' due to their ability to get audiences on their feet.

Lead vocalist Dave Small has played with bands such as Aura and Naked Remedy, and now joins bass guitarist Joshua Terry, electric guitarist Danny Gauden and cigar box guitarist Tom Callinswood in Arcadia Roots.

The band will celebrate Christmas with local fans before preparing for their 2019 'Take You Higher' tour.

With festival appearances already booked for 2019, the show offers fans a chance to see and hear the band up close and personal.

The gig starts at 7.30pm on December 21. Tickets cost £12 in advance from wegottickets.com, or £15 on the door.
