COMMUNITY conscious Toby Carvery in Quinton hosted their much awaited re-opening following refurbishment by inviting Birmingham City Mission to take part in the ceremony.
Representatives from the City Mission charity performed the ribbon cutting as the Hagley Road-based restaurant resumed services after a two week closure.
General manager Sean O'Donovan said: "We were thrilled to have the City Mission cut the ceremonial ribbon for us.
"The City Mission is a great charity and the work they do with Birmingham's homeless community and vulnerable people is brilliant to see.
"They're such an integral part of the local Birmingham community and we really excited to get stuck in and support them."
Known locally as the Holly Bush, the restaurant has a reputation for their roast dinners and carvery joints.
But the restaurant has pledged to continue support for the City Mission, staff are planning to stage a host of fundraising events and activities over the coming months to raise money and awareness for the charity.
