Members of Working World – the Evesham-based training centre for adults with learning disabilities – were VIP guests and took the honour of turning the lights on at The Valley’s annual Christmas switch-on.
Local families flocked to The Valley to enjoy live music and captivating entertainment from some of the best professional acts the region offers.Phil Maclean, marketing manager at The Valley, said: “We had a great night and hope that the many families that joined us felt the magical atmosphere we did.
“The moment the lights were switched-on, which set off our snow cannons was an awesome sight.
“We are very grateful for Working World for being our guests of honour having endured a challenging few months following their centre being vandalised – it was great to hear the support they received by the locals.”
The switch-on also marked the first of The Valley’s late night shopping nights, with shops open till 8pm. Two more will follow on December 13 and 20.
