NEW parking charges have been introduced in Ludlow.
The charges were introduced on Monday after a period in which new machines have been installed in and around the town.
It followed an extended period in which there were protests that resulted in a number of concessions from Shropshire Council, that is responsible for the car parking.
The changes mean that some charges in the centre of town will increase whilst those in the car parks further from the centre of will go down.
A major change is that the stop, pop and shop concession has been reduced from 15 minutes to just five minutes.
Residents permits have doubled in price and must be obtained on-line.
