TODAY'S picture from the files of the Worcester News captures the melancholy sight that greeted walkers who climbed to the top of the Malvern Hills in September 1993. The much-loved Beacon Cafe had just been destroyed by fire, and since them hill-walkers have been denied the chance to enjoy a cup of tea and a sticky bun as a reward for reaching the summit of the Worcestershire Beacon.
